The D. Robert Brown Contributor Award is presented each year to an individual who has made significant contributions to improve the quality of basketball in the State of Maine. The coaches will nominate candidates for this prestigious award by e-mail in advance of 01-02-04. The coaches will nominate candidates for the media award by e-mail in advance of 01-02-04. The award winner will then be selected by the executive committee and recognized at the McDonald’s All-Star Awards Banquet.

MABC Coach of the Year Award
Each year the MABC recognizes coaches throughout the state who have demonstrated excellence in their field. These coaches typically have given above and beyond the call of duty and tend to bring out the best in their players. In recogntion of their excellence, they are voted by their coaching peers to receive these awards.
Every varsity coach who is a member of the MABC has the opportunity to vote for a “COACH OF THE YEAR” in any and all classifications. This is done on the same ballot as the McDonald’s Senior All-Star voting. The award winners will serve as McDonald’s All-star Coaches and will be recognized at the All-star Banquet.
Directly following the season, a separate ballot will be e-mailed to all member coaches to vote for an overall “Coach of the Year”. There will be one recipient from the boys coaching ranks and one from the girls. The overall “Coach of the Year” will be recognized at the fall meeting/clinic.
